Ingredients for Oven-roasted fries

  • Nonstick vegetable oil spray

  • 900 g unpeeled potatoes, scrubbed, cut lengthwise into 1.5–2.5 cm wedges

  • 30 ml vegetable oil

How to make Oven-roasted fries

  1. Preheat the oven to 230°C (fan 210°C).

  2. Lightly grease a large rimmed baking tray with non-stick spray or oil.

  3. Toss the potato wedges in a large bowl with a drizzle of vegetable oil until evenly coated.

  4. Season the potato wedges generously with salt and pepper, then spread them out in a single layer on the prepared baking tray.

  5. Roast the potato wedges for 40–45 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are tender and golden in spots.

  6. Once cooked, sprinkle with a little more salt and pepper to taste, and serve.
