These homemade black bean burgers offer a satisfying and smoky alternative for your next meat-free meal. By blending half of the beans into a purée while keeping the rest whole, the patties achieve an excellent texture that is both hearty and tender. Infused with warming cumin and a hint of cayenne pepper, they provide a gentle heat that pairs beautifully with the fresh, fragrant coriander.
Ideal for a quick midweek dinner or a relaxed weekend lunch, this vegetarian burger recipe is remarkably simple to prepare using store-cupboard staples. The patties hold their shape perfectly in the frying pan, developing a delicious golden crust that contrasts with the soft bun. For the best result, serve them alongside cooling soured cream and a vibrant tomato salsa to balance the savoury spices.
