Can I take Amlodepine and Sentraline together?

Why this happens

Both medications can lower blood pressure (amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker for blood pressure, and sertraline can sometimes lower pressure as a side effect). Additionally, both drugs are processed by the liver; sertraline may slightly slow down the breakdown of amlodipine, leading to higher levels of it in your system.

What you should do

It is usually safe to take these together, but you should monitor your blood pressure regularly. Move slowly when standing up from a sitting or lying position. If you feel very dizzy, develop a racing heartbeat, or faint, contact your GP.
