Can I take Amlodipine and Doxadura together?

Why this happens

Both amlodipine and doxazosin (Doxadura) work by relaxing and widening your blood vessels to lower blood pressure. When used together, their effects add up (an additive effect), which can sometimes lower blood pressure too much.

What you should do

It is common for doctors to prescribe these together, but you should be cautious. When starting this combination or increasing the dose, get up slowly from a bed or chair to avoid dizziness.
