Can I take Candesartan cilexetil and Nortriptyline together?

Why this happens

Candesartan is a blood pressure medicine that relaxes your blood vessels. Nortriptyline, while used for mood or pain, can also lower blood pressure as a side effect. When used together, these effects add up, increasing the risk of low blood pressure (hypotension).

What you should do

You can take these together, but be careful when moving from a sitting or lying position to standing. Rise slowly to give your body time to adjust. If you feel very dizzy, sit or lie down immediately. Monitor your blood pressure at home if possible and tell your doctor if you feel constantly lightheaded or faint.
