These honey-glazed root vegetables offer a delicious balance of natural sweetness and savoury depth. By simmering swede and turnips in a buttery honey reduction, the vegetables become perfectly tender while developing a beautiful, glossy coating. The addition of fresh Italian parsley provides a bright, herbal finish that cuts through the richness of the glaze, making this an elegant yet simple side dish for any occasion.
This vegetarian recipe is an excellent way to elevate humble root crops into a standout accompaniment. It pairs wonderfully with a traditional Sunday roast or as part of a festive spread. Because everything happens in one pan, it is a practical choice for busy home cooks looking for a nutritious, fibre-rich addition to their meal without the need for roasting or complex prep.
