This high-protein dish features sirloin flap steaks, a butcher’s cut prized for its deep, beefy flavour and ability to absorb bold seasonings. The marinade balances the salty notes of soy sauce with the sweetness of maple syrup and the tang of balsamic vinegar, creating a rich glaze that caramelises beautifully over direct heat. It is a sophisticated yet simple way to elevate a mid-week meal or a weekend barbecue.
Ideal for those following a nutritious, protein-rich diet, these steaks are best served thinly sliced across the grain to ensure maximum tenderness. Pair the beef with a crisp seasonal salad or roasted Mediterranean vegetables for a balanced dinner. Resting the meat is essential here, as it allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a perfectly succulent finish every time.
