Ingredients for Classic cheese ball
225 g cream cheese, at room temperature
60 g grated mature cheddar cheese
55 g Brie cheese, rind removed
15 ml Worcestershire sauce
1–2 ml hot sauce, or to taste
2.5 ml garlic powder
2.5 ml onion powder
15 g chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
170 g toasted pecans
How to make Classic cheese ball
Combine the cream cheese, cheddar, Brie, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder in a mixing bowl.
Beat the mixture on medium speed with an electric mixer until well incorporated.
Add the parsley and continue to mix on low speed until just combined.
Shape the mixture into a ball and refrigerate until firm.
While the cheese ball sets, coarsely chop the pecans and spread them out on a rimmed plate.
About 30 minutes before serving, remove the cheese ball from the fridge.
Roll the cheese ball in the chopped pecans, pressing them firmly onto the surface until completely covered.
Allow the cheese ball to soften at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving.
