Beet Chutney

This vibrant beetroot chutney is a wonderful way to add a punch of sweet and earthy flavour to your pantry. The combination of fresh ginger, yellow mustard seeds, and plump raisins creates a sophisticated balance that beautifully complements the natural sweetness of the beetroot. It is a stunning deep crimson condiment that looks as good as it tastes, making it a brilliant addition to any grazing board or a thoughtful homemade gift for friends.

As a versatile vegan accompaniment, this chutney pairs perfectly with sharp plant-based cheeses, roasted vegetables, or as a tangy lift for a classic lunchtime sandwich. Because the flavours develop and mellow over time, it is an ideal make-ahead recipe that can be kept in the fridge for up to a week. Simple to prepare and packed with wholesome ingredients, it provides a refined, healthy alternative to shop-bought preserves.
