These sophisticated smoked salmon, fennel and goat's cheese toasts offer a refined twist on the classic smoked fish appetiser. By infusing creamy goat's cheese with crushed fennel seeds, citrusy lemon zest, and aromatic tarragon, you create a complex flavour profile that beautifully complements the rich, oily salmon. The crunchy baguette base provides a satisfying textural contrast, making these a standout choice for an elegant high-protein snack or a dinner party starter.
Perfect for entertaining, this recipe is designed for convenience; both the herb-infused cheese and the crisp toasts can be prepared up to two days in advance. When you are ready to serve, simply assemble the components for a fresh and vibrant dish. These savoury bites are an excellent way to introduce more healthy fats and high-quality protein into your hosting menu without compromising on style or flavour.
