Why this happens

Both substances can affect the central nervous system. Melatonin is a hormone that regulates sleep-wake cycles, while lion's mane is a mushroom that may have calming effects on the brain. When used together, their sedative effects can add up (an additive effect).

It is usually fine to take these together, but start with low doses of each to see how you react. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how the combination affects you. If you feel excessively sleepy the next day, consider reducing the dose or taking them at different times.
