Can I take Intuniv and Panadol together?

There are no known significant interactions between Intuniv (guanfacine) and Panadol (paracetamol). It is generally considered safe to take these two medications together.

Why this happens

These medicines are processed by different pathways in the liver and do not interfere with how the other works. Intuniv affects certain receptors in the brain and nervous system to manage ADHD symptoms or blood pressure, while Panadol works on pain and temperature regulation without affecting those same pathways.

You can take these medicines together as prescribed or according to the packaging. Always follow the recommended dose for Panadol and do not exceed 4 grams (eight 500mg tablets) in a 24-hour period. If you feel unusually dizzy or sleepy, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
