Can I take Ashwagandha and Pantoprazole together?

Why this happens

Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid. Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb. There is no evidence that they interfere with each other's absorption, metabolism in the liver, or excretion by the kidneys.

It is generally considered safe to take these together. If you find that your acid reflux symptoms worsen after starting ashwagandha, you may wish to stop the supplement and speak with your pharmacist or doctor. Always inform your healthcare provider about any herbal supplements you are taking alongside prescribed medication.
