Why this happens

Both amlodipine and omega-3 fatty acids have blood-pressure-lowering effects. Amlodipine works by relaxing your blood vessels, while omega-3 can also reduce blood pressure through various natural pathways. When used together, their effects can add up (an additive effect).

It is generally safe to take these together, but you should monitor your blood pressure regularly at home. If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or unusually tired, speak to your doctor. They may need to adjust your amlodipine dose. Do not stop taking your prescribed medication without consulting a healthcare professional.
