Why this happens
Amitriptyline and ezetimibe are processed by different pathways in the body. Amitriptyline is primarily broken down by liver enzymes (CYP450), while ezetimibe works mainly in the digestive tract to prevent cholesterol absorption and is processed through a different chemical pathway (glucuronidation). They do not interfere with each other's absorption or effectiveness.
