Why this happens
Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant metabolised primarily by the liver, while creatine is a nitrogenous organic acid processed mainly by the kidneys and used by muscles. They do not share the same metabolic pathways or compete for the same receptors in the body.
What you should do

However, ensure you stay well-hydrated, as both substances can affect your body's fluid balance—amitriptyline can cause a dry mouth, and creatine draws water into the muscle cells.
