Losartan may slightly reduce the effectiveness of albuterol (salbutamol) in opening your airways. Conversely, albuterol can sometimes cause the body to hold onto salt and water or affect potassium levels, which might slightly interfere with how well losartan controls your blood pressure.

Why this happens
These drugs have opposing effects on the cardiovascular system and potassium levels. Losartan is an ARB that helps lower blood pressure and can increase potassium, while albuterol is a stimulant that can occasionally lower potassium levels and increase heart rate. While they don't directly block each other, their physiological effects can work in opposite directions.
