Why this happens
Adcal D3 contains calcium and vitamin D, which increase the amount of calcium in your body. Nicorandil works by opening potassium channels in the blood vessels, but it can also influence how the body handles calcium. In some cases, this combination may lead to an accumulation of calcium.
What you should do
Back to contentsYou can usually take these medicines together, but you should inform your doctor or pharmacist. If you experience symptoms of high calcium—such as feeling unusually thirsty, needing to urinate more often, constipation, or feeling sick (nausea)—contact your GP. They may occasionally want to check your blood calcium levels.
