Taking Zopiclone and Voltarol (Diclofenac) together can increase the risk of side effects like dizziness, drowsiness, and confusion. It may also increase the risk of stomach irritation or, in rare cases, affect how your kidneys work.

Why this happens
Both drugs can affect the central nervous system, leading to increased sleepiness. Additionally, Voltarol (an NSAID) can sometimes affect kidney function, which may slow down how quickly the body clears Zopiclone, although this is less common with the gel form than with tablets.
What you should do

Since Voltarol Joint & Back Pain Relief is a gel applied to the skin, less medicine reaches your bloodstream than if you took a pill, making a serious interaction less likely. However, you should still be careful. Do not drive or operate machinery until you are certain you do not feel overly drowsy. It is best to avoid or strictly limit alcohol, as it will significantly worsen the drowsiness caused by Zopiclone.
