Drug interaction guide

There is no known direct interaction between Zopiclone and MSM. However, MSM may have a very mild blood-thinning effect in some people, and Zopiclone can occasionally cause dizziness or unsteadiness. Taking them together is unlikely to cause problems for most people, but you should be aware of how you feel when starting them together.

Why this happens

Zopiclone is a sedative that works on the central nervous system to help you sleep. MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) is a dietary supplement often used for joint pain. They are processed by different pathways in the body and do not share the same chemical targets.

It is generally considered safe to take these together. However, always take Zopiclone exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually right before bed. If you notice unusual bruising or increased drowsiness the next day, speak with your pharmacist or GP. Always inform your doctor about all supplements you are taking.
